Dallas Assembly #33
The International Order Of The Rainbow For Girls is a character building organization for girls between ages of 11 and 20. Its purpose is to promote effective communication, leadership skills, and most importantly, service to humanity.
We are a fraternal service organization for young women who want to be the best they can be. Rainbow Girls learn and practice superb communication skills, how to work with others, and to take responsibilities seriously. At meetings you plan many fun things together; such as dances, camping trips, going to plays, skating, sleep-overs, pizza parties, and mystery trips. Rainbow Girls help others by participating in service projects and learn that helping those less fortunate is one of life’s greatest rewards. Girls visit other assemblies as well as functions within their own jurisdiction. When you participate in the many activities Rainbow offers, you will have lots of fun and learn to be a better person. You will learn many important skills, such as extemporaneous speaking, parliamentary procedure, proper etiquette, and posture. Rainbow reinforces important values and respect, and how to interact well with others. Members of Rainbow are active in their churches, schools and communities. They raise money for various charities through bake sales, pancake breakfast, babysitting, dinners and they extend themselves in service to their communities, churches and sponsoring organizations. Rainbow Girls have many fun activities and opportunities to make lifelong friendship.
The International Order Of The Rainbow For Girls, is only affiliated with Masonic Lodges, Order Of The Eastern Star Chapters, Courts of Amaranth and White Shrine Of Jerusalem. We are NOT associated with any other group than the four listed above. Many groups and organizations use the name of Rainbow in their title or organizational name.
This web page acknowledges allegiance to the Supreme Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, whose seat of authority is in McAlester, Oklahoma, of which Reverend W. Mark Sexson was the founder and Mrs. Kay Letterman is the Supreme Worthy Advisor, and to the Grand Jurisdiction of Texas of which Mrs. JoAnn Weaver is the Supreme Deputy.
